fitment confirmation

I know there is a sizing chart and all here but just for piece of mind and confirmation...

I'm looking to put BFG T/A KO 31x10.50R15 tires on my '02 Edge 4wd and hoping to stay stock height for the time being. Also want to use my stock rims (15x7).

Will these fit without any clearance issues whatsoever (even when fully cranked to turn)?

Here's the stock wheel...

That is the same tire that comes from the factory on the Level II's which also have the same width/offset as your wheels. The only slight rubbing that you might see would be on the rubber splash shield(s) attached to the plastic inner fenders. It can happen on stock Level II's and it is very minor.

there is a reason there is the tire chart you can go as high as 32x11.5x15... if you look your truck is a normal edge just as listed nothing different...

you dont need to crank the t-bars either with 31's heck might not have to with 32's either it would look better

Oh I believe it. I'd like 32's but I'm just wondering about the weight for gearing. I had 33's on my 4.0L TJ with a 4" lift and it really bogged it down for highway driving, pretty much lost my 5th gear. Also if 31's slightly rub on the splash shields as rwenzig said above, 32's might make it worse.

32's would really fill in the wheel gap though, that's for sure.

FWIW, I will probably opt for 32's when my tires need replacement. I fixed the slight rubbing problem on mine by moving the rubber shields from the outside of the plastic inner fenders to the inside. This easy mod opens up more tire clearance when turning and protects the vulnerable upper edge of the shields at the same time.

Will 32's mount properly on 15x7 rims or do they require 15x8?

Does BFG even sell a 32" a/t tire? (I can't find them listed anywhere and I don't really want the M/T series)

Max recommended BFG A/T on a 15x7 is 31x10.50 or 33x10.50.

BFG says that a 32x11.50 should use a 8~10" wheel.
