Getting new wheels

I will be getting new wheels this weekend. I want a low offset so they stick out. what is the widest rim i can run with a 265/70/16

Are you sticking to black rims? Or going a completely different direction?

I think the mickey thompson classic locks and classic II's have 3.25 backspacing... so they stick out a little farther than most. Most 8" rims have around 3.75 backspacing. I think you can get the mickey thompson's in black now too.

no... less backspacing means it will stick out farther... more backspacing means more tucked in

just go with 3.75 backspacing on a 16x8 rim, it will be perfect.

My wheels are about flush with my flares with 15x8s but im running 33x12.5s

Yeah 3.00-3.75 is perfect. My Eagle Alloy 058s are 3.25in like Mickey Thompson classic lIs.

They only come in 4.438 in. Backspace. Mickeys aren't known for sticking out.

My favorite thing guys do with MTs is get the classic locks and have the lock ring color matched to the truck. Not sure how it would look in black on black but red and blue are badass.

get 17's or 18's be different, get chrome classic locks's with a black ring that would look sweet and still support your black/death/emo/my mommy never help me thing youve got going on ;-)

polished aluminum is the only thing ill get. Chrome is gross big wheels are dumb.

I wouldn't consider 17 or 18 a big wheel I'm going to a 17 if/when I get new wheels. I do think a black ring would look good though. Also you have the option to get spacers if you want them to stick out a little more

I say 17 is the max on 4x4s. That's IMO of course.

ya polished aluminum is what i ment, gross big wheels arnt bump when you have gross big tires wrapped around them
