no one mentioned the Toyo Open Country M/T... those hook up really well on rocks :/ (only place i have seen them perform) i would imagine they would b great in mud, similar in design to the Mickey Thompson MTZ's only have more sidewall lugs i believe, and what about Wrangler MTR's?

those 4 are great, gonna b possibly my next ones

 

the super duty guys i talk to love their toyo MTs, say they are great in mud, i thought about goodyear wrangler MTRs for my truck but it seems like you can't get decent life out of em, they wear out too fast, jeep isn't even using them anymore, they switched to BFG mud terrains now

 

so the claws dont have a very long street life, and i do also like the look of the mud terrians that mickey thompson sells aslo, that nittro(sp) or some thing looks like a tire that would be on show trucks looks cool but i dont know, i am leaning towards a thompson tire, what type of wear and performance do you get out of the mud terrians. thanks alot for yalls help

 

they claim that if you keep proper air and rotation going in them, you'll get up to 40k out of them...i've only got about 600 or 700 miles on them so far...at least 150 of that's offroad though!

i have yet to get stuck with these tires! i find them to be damn near unstoppable...

 

Why dont you ever hear anyone talk about Maxxis? I got some Maxxis Buckshot Mudders in 265/75-16's for 125.00 ea at our local off road shop when they couldnt get the Trxus I wanted.....good thing,I love these tires!

 

where is a good place to buy the mickey thompsons, i was looking around and was not sure and then the tire size is antoher problem that i any worrued about, i have read on here that people wit hthe same truck as i have got have been able to put 35s under it, i would love to do that, but am worried about fitting, and i dont think you can return wheels if they dont fit, i have not measured any thing yet but it has lots of wheel room left. i have a 99 xlt ex. cab and its 4x4 with a 3 inch performance body lift. any ideas which to choose

 

personally i think the nicest looking tire for a 3in body lift is a 33x12.5r15, or if you have a 16in wheel i believe the equivalent size is 285/75r16, im sure someone will correct me if im wrong

 

right now i have got 265/70/16 and there is tons of room for more tire, i might be wrong but a 265/70/16 is around 31 inches, and if thats the case a 33 inch tire is not going to make that big or a difference, 1.5 on each side of the rim, but i could be wrong

people are going to be drooling over those wheels, they just came out with the black sections and they look awesome, you are correct a 265 is about the same size as a 31, im looking at a chart for BFG all terrains that says a 285/75 measures 33 tall and 8.9 wide tread, keep in mind these measurements will vary depending on what tire you end up getting, but that at least gives you an idea

 

alright, i know when i saw these rims i fell in love, so you think that i should get a set of 33 and not worry so much about hte 35 s,
