Largest Tires without lift on 1997?

I have a 1997 Ranger XL 3.0 and the stock tires and wheels are so ridiculously small so i need to get larger. What are the largest i can get without a lift? and what about with a 3" body lift? I've heard others but apparently the 93-97's are the tricky ones...

Yea I looked at that and I'm getting 16x8 wheels but with no lift. Will 255/70/16's fit without a lift? ... I don't quite understand the leveling block and such.

he is talking about a 2" spacer that goes inbetween the spring, called a coil spring spacer i think. adds 2 inches of lift to the front of the truck.

i have never installed one but they can be found at 4wp, summitracing.com, ebay.com etc...

there 30x10x16 depending on the back spacing on the rim it should fit... I have 2" leveling block with 32x11.5x15.....

honestly why in hell are you wanting 16" the tires are more expansive and the sizes are goofy as hell

I've got the same kind of question, I have a 97 4x4 ranger with stock suspension and I was wondering what size tires I can put on my truck without it rubbing when turning or just driving, I'm wanting to put Mickey thompson rims on but I also don't know which size rim.... 14, 15, or 16?
