mickey t baja MTX
mickey t baja MTX
anyone know if mickey t baja radial mtx is a good all terrian tire? i hardly ever go off roading and these look enough for me..i would say 70% road, 20% dirt/soggy road, and 10% logging trail, I was looking at 30x9.50-15, not to bad priced at 97 each but pretty sure i can get em cheaper locally... anyone have any feed back on them
my dad has them on his 79 f-150 and I really like them. handle great on the road in all weather conditions, can not really tell you how they are offroad but with the tread design they should work ok in the type of wheeling you described.
The wildcats are okay, but they're pretty bad in the rain like any unsiped mud.
I'm running the Mickey Thompson MTZ's -- more aggressive tread but still siped for rain and suprisingly good on the street. Not sure the pricing in that size, but I paid $182 each for them in 35x12.5x15 from Summit Racing. You might want to price them in that size there if they have them. They're quick too -- I ordered them Wednesday afternoon and they arrived Friday morning -- unbelievable.
I had some General Grabber M/T's (which are a similar design to the wildcats -- "traditional" mud tire) and they were TERRIBLE on wet roads.

yeah i had a question, right now i have general grabber at2 31x10.5 and i guess they come to like a 30 inch tire? but i went on summitracing.com and i was looking at the Mickey Thompson Baja Claw Radial Tires the 31x10.5 and it says it comes to 31..while others come to like 30.60 or something if i did decided to get those would i still beable to fit them on my 94 without a lift ?
sorry if this is the wrong time to post this but i thought it be better than to start a new thread.

Is your 1994 a 4x4, Nick? I think they might fit. 4x2's are pretty low down though and it might be squeeze. 0.4" isn't much, but sometimes it's the difference between a rub and no rub.
Worn 31's can easily be closer to 30", especially if they were around 30.5 to begin with.
