Need Quick Snow Chains Help!

Hey guys, I am heading up to the mountains tomorrow and just found some chains on craigslist. I don't frequent snow and I don't expect to have to use them this weekend (its southern california, and its gonna be 50 degrees). However there has been some chain control so I want to make sure what I get works.

Do you guys think I can fit chains with this clearance, or should I get cables?

These are the chains Peerless Truck Tire Chains with Rubber Tighteners: Automotive : Walmart.com

Keep in mind I am rarely in snow, I've had the truck since 2004 and never had to use chains. However, I want to have some just in case of chain control and I want ones that will fit. So should I get these, or go with cables?

Thanks!

Clearance looks like a little over 2 inches (maybe 2.25). You think I will be ok with chains?

follow the instructions and make sure they sit well and stay tight and they will be fine. most chains you dont want to exceed 25MPH

personally I prefer a diamond patter chain over the ladder bar becuse they hop less on the tire and are easier to install quickly.
