Hey guys, I have a 2002 bright island blue Edge model that I want to give an aggressive look to. I have bought a really nice set of 31X10.5 BFG All Terrains but I now need a set of wheels! I have narrowed my choice to a set of Ion Alloy 174 wheels or a set of Mickey Thompson Classic II's. I hear that my particular Bright Island Blue color is actually rare and I'm just not sure if the Ion 174 rim would flow with the blue well enough with a 31 AT tire ( They look smaller than most 31 tires). I have been browsing Google a lot lately and found a Ranger very similar to mine. ( Sorry for using a pic without permission, if this is a problem I can take it down!) with a black bead lock wheel on it. What do you guys think would look best chrome or black bead lock sim? I plan on keeping the stock suspension no BL or SL.

 

With your color, I think you could go either way and be satisfied.

Here's what you can do:
Start a "wheel and tire photoshop request" thread.
Get a good side picture of your truck and a good picture of each wheel that you want to see on your truck.
Post them up and somebody might be willing to Photoshop them on for you.

That is a very nice truck! The black and blue look very good with that set up, very aggressive just like I'm going for! You even have the tinted windows and smoked lights! I'd be happy if my truck came out half as nice as that! I'm just a little skeptical of the no lift and a 31 tire combo compared to your lift and 33 tires.

Thanks. After I got the lift,wheels, and tires I fell in love with my truck again.

The black and blue theme is something I like about my truck. It's subtle and stands out at the same time.

I wouldn't be too worried about the 31" tires and no lift. You shouldn't have many issues if you don't offroad

 

So here is what I came up with. I couldn't find a set of A/T 31's on Ion alloy 174 so I used the eagle wheels which are very similar. I am certainly no Photoshop artist haha. How does it look? I'm not sure if those look like 31's or 33's in the Photoshop.

Yeah, I would go for those wheels! I was going to get the set your looking at before I chose the Procomp chrome ones I have now.

Thanks for the input guys I appreciate it! Also thank you for posting pics they are helping me a lot. I have been playing around and found a better photo with the actual rims and tires that I have photo shopped. Let me know what you guys think and if you would add or change anything!

My buddy also mentioned putting a Ford Raptor splash decal on it to give it the Baja look. What do you guys think about that? Too tacky?

 

Don't do the decal

 

Go mudding, that's a free decal. I've had the MT CL 2s and black ProComps (without the fake beadlock) and was very happy with both. The only thing I don't like about the MTs is the upkeep to keep them shiny. Black powdercoat is maintenance free.

 

Could anyone tell me what these wheels are? I really like them on this truck and I may even go with them if they are not too expensive. They look great with the blue!
