Do you guys get tire warranty

I was just wondering when you guys buy tires do you guys get the warranty or the Certificates for Free Replacement warranty?

The warranty covers flats and a replacement tire, correct?

And if I buy tires on line where would I be able to take the tire to get the warranty?

most tires come with the 40k/50k warrenty that covers manufacturer defects... warrentys as far as flats go is probably just the tire shop...

The reason I ask is because from discounttire.com there is a Certificates for Free Replacement and from tirerack.com there is a roadhazard warranty.

What do these really cover and what is covered by the tire company?

I have not had any serious probems with tires before.

Are defects taken care by the company? What are tire defects? Are bubbles in the tire defects? Sorry for the ? but I honestly don't know.

I will go to the tireshop when I have time to ask ?'s.

From Tirerack
The following tires are not eligible for the Tire Road Hazard Service Program:
Competition tires
LT Metric sized tires
LT Flotation sized tires
Trailer tires
I was looking at bfg's30x9.5x15.

if you get the replacement certificates from discount tire the tire is fully covered from any road hazard damage. which means if anything happens to your tire and it cannot be repaired they will replace the tire for free.

Cool, when I get my new tires I will get the replacement certificates. Now the warranty sounds like a good idea.

Could you guys elaborate more, give me reason's why you say that?

First I was thinking of not getting any, but then the post above had good reasons.

buy good tires and no need for warranty.

BFGs, GoodYears, Nitto, Bridgstone etc. and no need for warranty.

Take care of the tire, check for pressure every few months and you will never need the service.

The day after I bought my truck I noticed I had a chunk of metal sticking out of the tread. I went to discount and they fixed it up for free. I told them up front I didn't buy the tires from them and he said don't worry about it. They fixed it for free. My dad has had 2 tires slashed while hunting (crappy General tires) on separate occasions and discout replaced them both for free. All he had to do was pay $30 for each tire in case it happened again. He smartened up and bought some good Micheline tires. He had a blowout while heading to Mexico with the Michelines. Discount replaced it for free and my dad paid $30 for antoher warrenty. We got back form Cali about 2 weeks ago. Some how we managed to get a screw and a nail in one of his tires, again Discount fixed it for free. I don't mind paying a little more for tires if the tire dealer is going to go above and beyond like they have for my family and me. They even price match. When I bought my BFG's they price matched 4 Wheel Parts. I know I might just have a good store near me but how can you not go back to a store after treating an 18 year old kid with respect and fixing his tire for free?? So back to your question Discount Tire's warrenty is worth it because it pays for itself if you use it, if not well you were lucky. You only have to pay the $30 on each tire. If they fix flats and debris in the tire it doesn't cost $30 again. If they replace the tire then you can pay the $30 again on the new tire if you want the warrenty to continue.

Hey firstranger, why not get P265/75/R15???
it is about the same size, then you can also get a mileage warranty! Unless you think you would need an LT tire, but I bet not...
