I'll be regearing the SAS obviously, before I put it in, to make it match my 4.56 rear. Not so intimidating now that I've done two of them. The second one was Tom's Dana 30 and he learned to do it now also.
In fact, he had a brainstorm which has worked so far: shim the carrier bearings Ford 8.8 style rather than Dana style. That is, use larger diameter shims on the OUTSIDE of the bearing, not between the bearing and the carrier.
Don't know that it will work on my Dana 44 -- but I will look into it. It makes it a LOT easier to set the backlash.
I think you'll like being up on 35's David. And next time you go offroad, you'll be VERY glad.

If you have 4.10's I belive you will be OK, and from reading a few articles (maybe not with the 3L though) you should get better gas milage. I dunno, I just heard it's better for the hwy
