ProComp ATs

Just replaced the old set on sarahs truck, giving a long term update. pretty satisfied with them overall. the wear wasnt 50K like they say but due to more than a fair share of smoke shows and doughnuts i would expect less. i think she got around 40,000 miles which isnt to bad all things considered.

on the dry road they handle pretty well for an AT, quite and smooth even unblanaced like they are now.

in the rain, the siping helps a lot. still remain smooth and handle very well...granted they arent a firestone firehawk but they wont slip.

in the snow they really shine. very good traction in the deep snow, but have a tendicy to block up when pushing hard like most ATs. on the lighter snow they seem to grip better then the BFG ATs i have experience with (three sets) and hold thier own comapred to a dueler revo AT (which i consider an exceptional snow tire). on ice...well nothing helps on ice LOL.

off-road they do well for an AT but in mud...like all ATs they pack up fairly quick. on trails they pull thier own, handling most obstacles. we dont have any real rock crawling areas so i cant compare that area.

apples to apples, i like them and so does she. and for even comparasion on my dads 95 F-150 they did everything the BFG AT did and i seem to think they are quiter and handle a little better. i have no milage comparisions yet as we dont have them on his all that long.

Good review.

I have always thought they seemed like a good tire.

I've had mine for around 5-10k, and I love em. The only thing I don't like about them is in mud, it seems like they pack up really bad. I have never really gone hardcore mudding with them, but they did everything I need them to.

I was living in Wyoming when I got them, in December (Christmas present to myself) so they saw a lot of snow, and I thought they did really well.

I heard a lot of negative comments when I told people I got them, but I'm really glad I did, they are a VERY decent all terrain. Just don't expect them to be the best tire in every terrain.

I had mine on my ranger for about 30k miles... and they were wearing good..

Alot of people on here dont like them... but i did..

Only downside was rain.. didnt get verygood traction in the rain..but snow, mud, etc.. way better than BFG's

I am glad to see a review on these. I am thinking about getting them as soon as I get a loan paid off. My BFG's really suck and I have been looking at these tires for a while.

They are good tires, i ran a set of 33x12.50s for a while and they were great in all weather.

got some snow, ice and slop the past few weeks so i figured id update. bear in mind these same tires are now on three of our vehicles now (95 F-150, 03 Xploder Sport, 04 Ranger Edge...2nd set).

i forgot how well these did in the slop when new, last time sarahs were pretty worn in the snow. they performed better than expected on my dads F-150 (front and rear limited slip), pretty much will go anywhere i point it in 4wd...literally. and in 2wd they felt like driving on dry roads in most situations. they just dug and bite. on the explorer they were replacing the awsome goodyear RT/S so anything is an improvement and my moms loves them. she says she cant believe how much better it feels driving even in the rain. she now doesnt worry about going to work when its sloppy out. and on the ranger, well i have no concerns about getting stuck. i also tried climbing some snow piles in her ranger and it walked up them without even blinking which surpised me considering it was pretty icey.
