Help Me Pick My Next Tire

I'm going to buy some new tires on friday and I can't make up my mind on which to get. I wheel mostly on sharp rocks and compact dirt and when it rains I hit every mud hole I can find. I like the look of mud terrains but they get chewed up to much. I'm looking for a 33-34'' by 11-12''. Please help!

Edit: On a 16 by 8 inch wheel.

Out of those I would choose either the Fc2 in 33/11.50 for 174$ or the nittos in 295/75/r16 for 143$ but I havn't heard anything on the FC2's and the nittos don't look very aggressive.

i think you need to keep with some type of mudder.

but if you want them to last get an AT. if an AT then get the ATZ tire.

I hated my xterrains. The sidewalls bubbled and they wore all crazy, even with regular rotation. Plus after i sold them to my friend 3 of the 4 sidewalls blew out on the trail.

if you do lookinto the atz, get the "specialty" tread, not the traditional.

speacialty

traditional

i can find the part number for the specailties, as they just came out in 33x12.50.

I like that specialty ATZ but like Beard said I think my truck looks best with some type of mudder under it. I did like the X-terrains but according to redranger they don't wear well so... If you had to choose a mudterrain for rocks and street driving what do you guys thinkwould be best and if nothing I'll probably get the ATZ or FC2.

BFG mud terrain hands down for what you just explained.

What about the MT/R? They are sick on the rocks and decent on road so I hear!!!

The MTR is way to pricey for me and the BFG is around 207 which is still kind of pricey but you get what you pay for. The Mickey Thompson MTZ is only around 180, how would this tire hold up in those conditions?

And for sizing does anyone think i could fit 315/75/r16 or should I stay at the 285? One reason I want Nittos are because they come in 295 which equals about 34''

What about the mickey thompson MTZ's

I love this tire. I recommend them for everyone. Of course I don't have a set of my own. But I have seen them on a Jeep and a Ranger and they look awesome. Aggressive look, good in mud, and they are siped so they do great in the rain. Well great for a mud tire anyway.

mud grapplers or terra grapplers? a 33 isnt a full 33 anyways. most measure in the mid 32s, like the specs that you posted.

Well you can't argue the best tire when you don't want to pay the money for it

Good tires (generally speaking) are going to cost more than OK tires.

I reccomend either BFG's or MT/R's, but I'll shut up now :)

Mud grapplers are nice if you have the money, I haven't really checked into the prices on 16" rims. I knwo my buddy got 305/75R16 (or something similar) for 700 OTD. I don't know if thats good or not, but thats a comparison.

I was talking about the NItto A/T in the 295 and they only cost around 140$. My prefered size is 295/75/r16 or 305/75/r16 but not to many tires come in that size.
