Stock Height 07 2WD XL

I currently have 225/70/R15 tires on it right now. Once i need new tires i am thinking of putting 18"s on it. The tires im looking at the smallest tire for an 18" is a 255/55/R18.

The stock tires are 27.4" tall the new tires are 29.0" tall. Will the new tire fit without lifting it?

How bad do you think it will affect MPGs?

Yeah up to 31s can fit in stock 2WD. My 31s rub a tab on full clock so 29s will be well within reason. It won't affect it too bad. Maybe 1MPG?

it will fit. thats a good size for a tire i think on these trucks, thats about how tall mine were if i remember correctly. not really that much bigger than what you have now, and since its a 2.3 anyway i wouldnt worry about mileage a whole lot.

were the 225/70/15s on yours from the factory? seems a little small

That tire size will fit fine. I doubt you'd even notice a mileage difference but your speedometer will be slightly off!
