stock wheels vs aftermarket wheels
stock wheels vs aftermarket wheels
i have a 2003 4x4 xlt 4.o ranger. i am in the market to buy some new tires and are looking to run some 31s. i have been looking at getting after market pro comp 15x8s to put on it but i do like the look of my current wheels. which would be the better option to go with?
my research is telling me that the 31x10.5x15 tires are cheaper than the 265/75R16 which is basically the same size tire.
money is not a huge concern. i am willing to spend a little bit more on wheels if they are worth it. so what would be the advantage to running 15x8 pro comp vs my stock 16 inch rim?

i know that the 15x8 pro comp wheels will offset my stance which would in my opinion look better but at the same time would make the truck much heavier at each corner due to the wheels being 32lbs each.

I'd definitely go with a 15x8. 16" wheels will limit you to load range. Ideally you'll want a load range C tire and a majority of tires for a 16" wheel are D or E.
They'll be good to have if you ever decide to lift it in the future as well
