Think I can fit 35s...
 

I have had 33s on my truck now for about 3 months and they're starting to look small. They are 33x12.5x15 BFGs on 15x8.5 Z racing rims with 3.75 backspacing. They dont rub at all on or offroad. Im wondering if I can fit 35s because I have plenty of room with the 33s. I have a 2002 2wd single cab with coil spacers up front and a 3in body lift. Lemme know what you think....

I think your best bet is to get wider rims. 15x10's will look better.

I have considered 15x10s for awhile but its not wider that I want...haha its taller. plus I heard wider rims make your ball joints wear 10x quicker

But to answer your question, they will probably fit with some trimming.

They will fit with trim... And an 8-8.5 inch rim is good for a 35.. Holds the bead 100x better

you will either tear up the tires, or the fenders. even 15x10's will tear your fenders up, probably the bed sides first

you think so...? the only problems I've heard of with 35s and a body lift is rubbing up front....

On a 4x4...

You should be fine, after some minor trimming.

Just do it... worry about the trimming, smashing your truck, and repairs later... it'll be worth it.

i think single cabs are just as high as 4x4s

just trim if you have to. You are 2wd so it is not like you can get real crazy off road.

I was a little. But try it... trim when/if you need to... if you do some damage... trim more, lol.

Im planning on getting spindles from santa anyway :biglaugh:

I had just a 4" superlift on my fx4 with 35's and the only place it rubbed was the bedsides, minor trimming solved that, I've got pics in my gallery of it at full flex

My brand new 33" km2's rubbed on the bedside when flexed a bit. I had to wrap gorilla tape on the fender corners prevent my tire from getting raped

4x4s have block under the rear springs, only 2wds that came with those were edge and trailhead i think...so your single cab prob didnt come as high as a 4x4. i got a 3in body lift and torsion crank on my 4x4 and 35s would rub quite a bit, cuz i rub with 33s while wheelin. i also have 15x10s though. spindle lift should put you high enough though.

My spindles will be here on the 29th so im not concerned at all about fitting 35s in the front now...I might have to aal the back though

that looks soo good. I cant wait. I havent quite decided how i should lift the rear yet...

shackles and AAL are fairly closely priced. id do AAL because of the extra payload and shacles can push your rear wheels forward, and with 35s they might rub more when flexed. what motor do you have? id recomend 4.88s on either the 4.0 or the 3.0

I have the 4.0 with 4:10s. It can get up and go even with my 33s...AAL is the direction i was leaning just because right now my truck is sitting perfectly level and I want a bit of lean:fing02:

yup thatll do it. and yea 4.56s are recomended, but for some get up and go, and better towing, power, etc get the 4,88s
