This probably isn't safe (i have a question)

A few years ago I swapped my stock 235/75/15's for a set of 265/75/15's, but my spare is still a 235. Failure on my part to properly care for my tires has left me with my driver's side front with wires showing. The tread on the other 3 are still good. I have to go out of town for work tuesday (around 300 miles round trip, mostly highway) and want to try to get a new 265 mounted tomorrow. I was wondering how unsafe it would be sticking my 235 spare on my driver's side front just for a day. At most I would probably be driving 30 miles between work and whatever tire shop I go with. The fastest I would be driving is 45 mph. I may not be able to miss work to get this done so I would prefer just to drop the rim/tire off and pick it up later.

What do you think?

I do not feel good about it at all to tell you the truth. I will probably take off half a day tomorrow to get it done. I just need to go in for a few hours to set everything up for tuesday.

on the fx4 it came with 31's stock and a 235 spare, its not good to run on the rear but its just like running a dount on any other car, its not the best to do but it will get you to the tire shop as long as your going easy. Its gunna wanna pull one way so just go easy and it will be fine

I would only do that if I absolutely had to.

It'll be fine.. just be careful. Go slow, and be careful on turns. I drove mine about 20 miles after I got a flat and put the spare on and it was just fine.

(Iv heard) if you run it with 2 different sized tires too long itll also throw off your alignment

I've done it with my old truck. You'll be fine but get it fixed as soon as possible!

If anyone was wondering I didn't do it. I took it easy with the wires showing and got a used tire for $38 at lunch today. I do not really like the idea of a used tire but I will probably need a set in the next year anyway and I would like to go bigger. Thank you for your input guys.
