Tire size for 95 xlt

Tire size for 95 xlt
My son has a 1995 xlt that has 14" tires on it. Can I change to 15" tires and what do I have to change? Is the speedometer gear the same in the transmission?

I think you mean 14" rims. Yeah you could run a 15 inch rim and look for a tire that has a similar diameter. As long as you keep the outer diameter of the tire the same, the speedo will be unaffected.

That being said, the tires I have now are 3 inches tall than what the truck came with and my speedometer is only off by a couple mph when I'm going 70 down the highway.
