Yeah I've heard they do great in the sand too. I really like the sidewall on them as well, it looks more aggressive than the others.

Ok the DCs are out, way to expensive.

ATZ's. The sidewalls look a little more protected for some light offroad use. The Terra Grapplers look like they would pop if you kissed a curb or something. Though the grapplers are probably more smooth and quiet with smaller tread blocks.

I'm really leaning towards the Nittos being there cheaper. It will probably come down to which one I like better in person.

I have had both, the ATZ's will end up sucking when driving in the rain over time and they suck in any kind of mud, but for everyday street driving they are good, not loud at all. The nitto's are good, great on the street and in the rain...mud, its ok...nothing special, about the same as a BFG AT.

The ATZ's are hands down the better looking tire when mounted though, the nitto's are deceptive when looking at them on-line, I think they look a lot better when mounted on a wide wheel...on a normal width wheel (factory wheel) they look like a factory tire.

Not sure about sand for the both of them, no sand around here.

I never said I was looking for offroad tires. I want a good riding street tire with semi aggressive looks that is good in sand and still decent offroad.

I voted for the Terra Grappler, I've always like the looks of them and have only heard good things about them. The ATZ's just look ugly in my eyes and the sipes are really close together so I can see why they would suck in the rain.

What about Toyo O/C A/T's? They are similar to the Nittos but I hear they have a harder compound so they last a little longer. Otherwise I say The Nittos.

I would recommend not going with the Terra Grappler. Absolutely terrible tire. I've had them on my work truck now for around 3000km. The truck is a 1 ton, flat deck with a lot of weight in the back (dont know how much but it needed 3 extra leafs per side to sit back at stock). Decent tire for pavement wet or dry and dry dirt/gravel, but in anything snotty, muddy, icy or snow my truck became a completely frustrating chore to drive. 4wd and keeping her pointed straight with the throttle not going over 40km/hr is an absolute blast...not.

The crappy stock chevy tires were waay better, especially in snow and ice.

Just my experience.

My dads 150 has like 50something thousand miles on his Terra Grapps, I like them and would recommend them. Actually was going get them to for the Ranger but they are lame and stopped making 15" wheel tires. But at the same time I also really love the ATZ's, as far as looks go the ATZ's are hands down the winner. I think I'd just get whatever you could get for cheapest if theres a big price gap.

Neither. I vote the Michelin LTX M/S. Or the X-Radial. They are the same tire.
