i have a lot of clearence over the stock tires(235/75r15) and i know i can clear 32's. So i guess the real question is will the change from the stock backspacing affect the chance that the tire will rub?

no this backspacing will be even better as far as that goes. i have 4" backspacing on my 16x8's and my 35x12.5's rub on the inside, on the frame and sway bar. by having less backspacing your tires will stick out a bit more and eliminate the chance of you rubbing like i do. stock i ran 33's on 15x10's with 3" backspacing and didn't rub one bit. on the street at least. lol

He won't need to trim the valance. I'm running 33's and I don't get near my valance.

I've got 15x8 black rocks with 3.75 backspacing with 32's. They rub a tiny bit on my right fender at full turn..... but I don't currently have a tbar crank so you should be good.
