Would like opinions about wheel n tire package

Hello, I'm looking for some opinions on a wheel/tire package I'm looking. I'm looking into Mickey Thompson Classic II 15x8 rims and Goodyear DuraTrec tires, 235/75/R15. There cheaper than the 31's by $30.

Does this sound like a good setup? Also looking to purchase set from
4wheelparts.com. It's like $1008.57 with mounting and balancing. There's one like 30 minutes away so I can avoid having them shipped to my house and store pick up incures no fee.

So, any advice/ opinions on this setup or rants/raves about the tires or the store?

Thanks

I would seriously encourage you to buy from anywhere but 4wheelparts. Buy from Summit.

Dont forget tirerack.com

but whatever you do, buy the duratrac's! Ask anyone, they are the best A/T tire ever.

Yeah I'm pretty sold on the DuraTrec's as I currently own Goodyear Silent Armors and I still have a ton of tread left and I've had them on since 160K and I"m currently at 213K. Sounds crazy but it's true. I like the Goodyear brand.

Mike I've looked into Summit Racing and was wondering if they put the tires on the rims and balance them or just ship them out. I'll also end up paying shipping for it as well. So it'll be more.

I'll check out tire rack and see what they got. Anybody else?

Those tires are going to look small, I'd really recommend going with 31s.

I don't think Summit will mount and balance them for you.

Make sure you really want the polished aluminum wheels, they require a good bit of maintenance to keep them looking good. Ask dixie_boyles about it lol

Yeah I've thought about that and if I do decide to go the route I'm headin on I'm gonna go with the 31's. I also like the polished ones more than the black and I'm up for polishing them.

I've also thought about the Eagle 186's 15x8's. There not as expensive as the Mickey's but there also polished I think.

Well did some hunting and I'm getting my Dura trecs from discount tire for 640 for the 31x10.5's and I'm gonna go with the Eagle 186's 15x8's. I like the polished look and I'm prepared for the maintenance. Keeping stockers for now as a backup but I may sell them later on here. I have the 16" tear drops that came on the 4x4s.

Also lucked up and I bought some 4.10's off a Police Interceptor. He's changing his to 4.56's so I'm lined up to get his 4.10's. Later on I might go up to the 33's.

Discount Tire Direct is a good place to get good tires for cheap. :)

x2 31's even look small on a 4x4. 31's is the smallest I would run on a 4x4.

I didn't know that summit does the beat the price. Oh well, I'm pretty sure this is as cheap as I can get them. Yeah I've had doubt on the 31's, but with the agressive look they have I'm pretty sure that they'll look good. I can always go higher the next time round if I need too. :)
