as far as my knowledge goes, if you find a good deal on a 2001+ Ranger with a blown engine, swap the motor into that, should be a direct fit. As far as other Fords from 2000 and before, not sure if the 2.3 duratec will fit without modification. In otherwords, if you find a 99 Ranger say with a blown engine, then you try and swap the motor into that, I'm saying I'm not sure what all you need to do to make it fit.
Or you can have some fun with it, hop up the motor, intake, header, port & polish the head, programmer or whatever you want to do with it and build a street legal dune buggy lol! -Mike-
