Icon5 catalytic converter help

Can i get away with one catalytic converter instead of the two or will it cause either the check engine light to come on or would it even pass inspection?

Rangers come stock with high-flow cats . No need to remove them. You won't gain anything.

you can remove the one after the sensor, i have 4 on my 01 and i can only remove or gut 1 which is the last one,i'm not sure about passing inspection we don't have it here.but like said above you wont gain any hp/tq from removing/gutting a cat, it will just change the sound a little, but not much
