Swap engine harness 3.0

Ok so I have a 2004 3.0 2wd Ford ranger. My main wiring harness fell onto my manifold and melted where the it plugs together. 48 pin connector. I was in a bind and didn't know what I was doing ,thought I could cut and splice wiring but that was a nightmare. So I found an 03 automatic and have the whole harness. Everything from the engine compartment. Fuse box computer and all. I was told that the harness wouldn't match up because of the tranny. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Should be the same engine bay and transmission harness 2001 3.0l to thru 2006 3.0l automatics

Rangers used the same 16 pin transmission wiring from 1995 thru 2011
In 2001 Ford added 2 more sensors on the outside of transmission, ISS and OSS, each is a 2 wire sensor, that was the only addition to transmission wiring, and while they are taped on to the main transmission harness they are separate

It's a manual not automatic. What engine harness is compatible?

??
The new harness you got is for a manual trans Ranger?

If so then no, it won't work in a Ranger with an automatic

You need one from a 2004 to 2006 for best match, 2001-2003 should work as well, 2007/2008 will NOT work

Try: https://www.car-part.com/

2004

Must be from a 3.0l with automatic, that should include automatic harness as it was part of engine harness after 2001
