07 Fuel Pressure Problems
Hey all, three things.
1. This is my first post. Nice to meet you all
2. I'm super new to vehicle repair in general. Picked this up as a new hobby because the winter is killing me.
3. I'm hoping you might be able to help me out with a fuel problem I'm having.
Problem:
- 2007 3.0 has trouble starting. Usually takes two or three tries to get it going. Discovered that priming the fuel line helped.
- Cylinder 4 misfired. Engine light came on. Cleared it and it hasn't happened since.
Hooked up a fuel pressure gauge. First turn to the run position outputs almost no pressure. Turning it 4-5 times gets the pressure up to about 10psi. At this point it turns over and we're good to go. Once running, the pressure sits consistently around 65psi. When I kill the engine, there is a rapid pressure drop. Back to 0 in seconds and then we have trouble starting again.
Hoping for a little help to get me on my way.
Thanks!
