Oh man, I thought I updated this...

Spent about 12 hours fixing the broken bolt/ mucked up threads...had to end up using a helicoil...

But after replacing thet tstat and flushing the cooling system, the truck runs great now...no problems with the tranny, and no overheating...I hope it stays that way...

Issue resolved

I just had this problem on my way to work a few nights ago, my best friend owned wrecking yard for 30 years and repair shop and told me that he had encountered this issue a number of times in Fords, he had me pull the pan and inspect and with no debris in the pan do you recommended to top it off with diesel fuel put the pan back on and filter start it and cycle it through the gears shut it down let it drain wait 10 or 15 minutes and start it and cycle through the gears again at that point pull the pan drain the fluids and put tranny fluid back in, it cleaned out the transmission cleaned the clutches and everything engages like new. There is a pressure relief valve in the pump inside the bell housing so when it overheated it puked all the tranny fluid out through the bellhousing, I thought I had lost the front pump seal but he assured me I didn't, ran through tranny fluid changes and runs spectacular, in the process I noticed the air sent tube had been kinked crushed to the side when I pulled the tube out and opened it up there was no more overheating problem.
