battery and door issue

For unknown reasons today my battery decides to die. I didnt leave anything on. Ive had it since Dec of 08. (Autolite brand but still under 3 year guarantee) So i got a jump to get home.

Then i noticed that when i open the driver door, it immediately locks itself when i open it. Thats never happened before with a dead battery or when ive disconnected the battery before. I can even try to open the door sometimes, and if i dont open it fast enough it locks and only opens halfway (still latched so i cant open it)

I tightened all of the cables and grounds that i could get to because its raining.

Any ideas?

Yeah it has an alarm, but what would that have to do with the doors locking themselves?

I don't understand how everybody is having so much trouble with their batteries lately. I've still got my stock one in there and it works fine and has no problems even in the cold weather.

Had battery checked today. Battery still reading good. Also had alternator checked. Thats fine.

I had it checked after i got it jumped and a few short minutes of driving. Would it be reading fine just because i got it jumped and drove it for a few minutes?

The gentleman told me that if it still died after a couple of days then it might be an electrical problem somewhere.
