Help, I need to know how to clear the battery light function, as I was working on the timing and forgot to unplug the battery. How do I clear this waring light indication.

post your year and model, and what you were doing that led up to this... battery light typically means that you are running off of battery power, not alternator power, so your alternator may be putting out the voltage you need, but not the amperage, or could be slightly low on amperage, so it's not putting up quite enough to keep up with the demand, and you are slowly running down the battery
