Battery Warning Light Suddenly Coming On??

Hey All... Hoping someone can give me advice or suggestions for what the problem may be. Just yesterday I noticed my Battery Warning Light was coming on. Sometimes it isn't just on completely solid, it'll seem to fade in and out... It'll be at full brightness, then suddenly dim off and on.
I'm not noticing anything happening with the truck though. No other lights inside or outside the vehicle seem to flicker or dim, it has no issue starting or idling. I even turned on the electrical, headlights, dome light, turned up the stereo and left it like that for a minute with the motor off and it still had no hesitation starting or running afterward.
To give you a quick background, my ranger is an 08 4x4 sport, it has 70 000km on it. The vehicle got a lot of use and was daily driven since I first bought it, except recently I've been getting to work with someone else so for the last couple weeks it has sat monday to friday without being used. Over this last weekend there has been a lot of wet snowy slushy weather and I was playing in it a bit?? Maybe water was getting somewhere it shouldn't?? I don't know.

Check all your grounds. As well as all your wiring to your alternator

i googled that problem over 2 weeks ago

it seems that ford was experiencing a lot of failures with their alternator`s

there is an excellent starter/alternator rebuilder on hensall circle in mississauga

when i had my jeep cj7 alternator in there.
he replaced all of the components with nippon denso parts
regulator/ rectifier / bearings

i never had a problem with my alternator after that re-build

Do you have warranty left?

Thanks. I may have to check that place out. But perhaps I should check to see if I have a warranty on my alternator still.

Battery indicator light on 2008 Ford Ranger keeps coming on. Replaced Battery, not as frequent, but still comes on. Is it the alternator after only 62K miles?

i also found out that there is a harness that runs from the battery to underneath the battery tray , the wiring was mounted against the inner fender well , and was rubbing against the inner fender well chaffing the wiring insulation and causing the positive battery wire from the alternator to ground out against the inner fender well ( which was causing the dimming effect of the lights )

i was informed to replace that particular harness part with a new 1 , prolonged grounding of the chaffed positive wire will over time damage the engine computer and the PCM

the head ford technician stated to me that there is TSB for that harness part
