spark plugs

Bosch Platinum +4 here.
I changed the stock plugs with Motorcraft double platinums. I had those in my truck for about a year and a half and had some issues with them. Every 4-5 months, the gap would go from 0.042" to 0.070" and wider. My truck also pinged pretty bad with 87 octane and even with 93 octane so I ditched them and went to the Bosch plugs. Haven't had any issues in 9+ months.

I've seen this happen many times.
As much as I love performance, I have to say that Bosch is not good for Rangers. Many people have had problems down the road with these plugs.
Stick with Motorcraft. And if it makes you feel better (like I did) get a premium Motorcraft plug. (probably all in my head, but hey...)

Spark Plugs For 2002 Ranger Xlt
Ok, I just got some Bosch spark plugs and I cannot find where to put them when I'm looking at the engine. Are they under the "4.0 liter" case, or burried in the engine somewhere? If anyone knows exactly how to get to them, just reply or send me an email, and that would be awesome. Thanks
