Cleaning MAF, Any advice?

Well, since none of you replied to my need help thread lol, i am going to see what cleaning the maf will do for my truck.. So.. did some research, and i went and got a can of carb and choke cleaner(all the bx had), and a torx (with the little hole in the middle) set..

Anything else i need to know? do i have to take out the whole assembly, or can i just take out the two torx heads and pull the maf sensor out, clean it and put it back in..

there is an electronic parts cleaner or a maf sensor cleaner that is preferred. Any parts store will have it.

You don;t have to remove it, just spray it in the same direction as the airflow.

If you do remove it, it has to be a security torx bit. The stores have a small kit for around $6. The security means there torx bit has to be hollow.

i've used no-voc brakleen (green can) to clean one before...i've heard that it is okay, but the best bet is the MAF cleaner
