I had custom pipes made on my truck and I put a Super 40 on it, 2.5" single all the way through, center inlet offset outlet with a 3" tip, exits at the rear passenger side corner of the bed, looks sweet, sounds loud, drones a bit, but I like it, through 1st and 2nd gear its quite loud but once you get to 3rd and finally cruising in 4th, it becomes a nice low rumble. When Im hammering it, like up a highway onramp to get up to speed, it just screams. The Super 40 is definately loud, if thats what youre looking for, but the pitch isnt so high that it sounds ricey.

Oh and by the way, ever since I put that exhaust system on, I get about 1.5 (up to 16.5mpg from 14.5-15 before.) extra miles per gallon, not much, but Ive also been hitting the gas harder since I got it to hear it more, so Im sure if I go back to my old driving habits I will get even better mileage.

It doesn't sound crappy, I HAD 3 but punched out the last one a few months ago. It sounds better (deeper) but it sounded great before. Just an FYI...

Ok, there are three cats, one on each side of the Y pipe, and then the 2 pipes meet into 1. Thats the third and final cat, if you un bolt it and get a big pipe (its hard to punch out but it will come) Knock the sh*t out of it and bolt it back in. Make sure its all empty, you don't want little chunks rolling around in your new muffler....

P.S. don't breathe the dust in from it while you knock it out.

I would wait to do it until after they install it. If they take your pipe off and see that its empty they might not do it for you.

here is an exhaust clip of mine, forgive me, the camera isn't the greatest and it is idling kinda high. When it is fully warmed up, at 700 rpm idle, it sounds mean.
