flowmaster 'delta' 40 series

i'm about to order a flowmaster delta 40 series from autozone. i'm gettin the singal-2.5in/dual-2.25out muffler. I was wondering what you guys think of the delta series compared to the other series? I wanted the super series but they only have singal-in/singal-out and dual-in/dual-out mufflers. the same with the american-thunder series

i have an original 40 which is the loudest i think and i like it. the delta if i remember correctly has a little more of a mellow tone compared to the super and original.

now im thinkin about gettin a standard 40 series single 3 in/dual 2.5 out muffler. on flowmaster's website says its the most aggressive sounding and powerful. what would be different?

Check out my exhaust clip below. Its an original 40 series. Its really loud at certain RPMs but has a really nice tone to it. I love it.

No exhaust behind the last cat.

You can barley hear it & it sounds literally like wind rushing out of the exhaust & nothing else.

yeah i believe mine is the 40, it sounds AWESOME. Got it done at a local muffler shop here. It's actually a shop run by a very religious family. They do great work, I got a dual straight out the back w/ tips welded on and flowmaster muffler. Looks great and sounds great. Good luck on your purchase.

I think he's talking about the 1-chamber "race muffler". It IS the loudest flowmaster because it only has 1 chamber....

I'd go for the origional 40. My buddy had it on his S10 Blazer and it sounded bad a$$ he now has it one his chevy 1500 and it's still freaking sweet sounding! My other buddy has the dual flowmaster super 40's on his 79' high boy and that sounds pretty mean but I like the origional 40 better. Go for the origional 40!
