I have a 2006 Ranger fx4 with a stock radio... recently in my adventures I happened to find myself in a nice size puddle.... long story short i had water in my cab up to the cup holders. Anyways, after chasing an electrical problem to do with no signal or hazard lights that was rooted back to a bad flasher relay i am now onto trying to get the radio to work again.

When i turn my ignition to accessory i can get my radio to play music in park and neutral only. If i start my truck the radio still has power but will not put music to speakers in any gear. I have found that when i pull fuse 20 which is the fuse for ABS, brake-shift interlock, speed control module, backup lights, overdrive, and signal/hazard flashers i get music playing in any gear like normal

I am confused at what could be causing this? I am not sure where to check for a ground on the radio or if it is to do with something else
