Make a way to fit newer factory speakers into an older truck?

I recently acquired some speakers off winks, the ones that fit into the doors, I think there 5x7s, well they fit fine but the plug is completely different. is there an easy way to make them work without having the newer style plug? thanks!

I would just need 2, one for each door, but here's the thing as well, If I get aftermarket speakers later on would they be alright just to plug and play? or would I need a new plug for those also?

ill take a look in my shop tonight for those pigtails. You'llprobably have to cut and splice on a female terminal, or a ring terminal, on those new aftermarket ones.

I shoulda got a pic of what I'm talkin about, the connector on my truck is a flat rectangle shaped piece, and the newer speakers look like they accept a more oval shaped connector

Pic time:

I believe this is what your stock speakers look like(the plug):

This is what my '01 along with mynew '06 speaker plug looks like on the speaker:

Here's the plug you need for the plug on the above speaker:

Unfortunately, I could only find one plug in the 20minutes I searched in my messy shop. I know I cut 4 of them off of the P71 Crown Vic. I'm going to a couple junkyards tomarrow...so ill keep my eyes open and do a little snip snip, andthrow them in an envelope and send em to ya.

Just get the right plug, cut your old plug off, use butt connectors and crimp on the newer style plugs.

dunno...prob not. if you got new factory speakers...sure yes they would fit. But aftermarket speakers...i don;t know. I'm thinking the aftermarket speakers take either ring terminals or those spring loading clamping things.
