Dumb question?

I have a 1997 Ranger 2wd with a 5 speed and a 2.3litre 4 cylinder. How involved is it to convert it to a 4 wheel drive? I would assume manual locking hubs would be the way to go, but do not know what else is involved if its even possible.

With the time , effort ,tools, shop, and money , You could do it.
But with less time , less money , and less effort , you could search around for a used 4WD
and rebuild it.

I basically need to know what parts are needed, and if they bolt in, or need modification to the frame, etc. Thanks for the help guys!

It's easier and cheaper to get another truck and I don't think they made a 4wd 4cylinder, so... go get another truck.
