5r55e tranny line question.....

does anyone know which line in the radiator goes out to the tranny? is it the top line or the bottom line.....both are on the driver side.....

reason i ask is, if it is the top line that goes into the radiator, then my aftermarket cooler is doing nothing......because i have the cooler spliced into that line.......if it is the other line, i am going to change it so the aftermarket cooler is effective!

I believe just like the coolant the top is in and bottom is out of the radiator.

How are the lines hooked up? Just unbolt one and find out. I forget even how it's set up on the automatics.

You have a tranny temp gauge right?

Just bypass the stocker altogether and see if the temps drop.

the temperature wont drop.....unless you get an obsessivly large cooler.......without a cooler all together the tranny would run in the 250* + range......the stock radiator cooler at least cools it back down to ~190*

I meant lose the radiator cooler and use the after market only. See if the temps drop.

I believe they will. Unless you have a cooler rated less than 10000gvwr.
