Alright guys, as lots of you know i got home and got to drive my truck for the first time after the lift Yesterday, i have been driving it almost all day both days so far.

ANYWAYS, I have noticed a few things, NONE of which were there BEFORE i left for the summer, aka, before the truck went in to get lifted/re-geared

1)When ever i start off from a dead stop the truck shudders, no matter how much gas i give it.. if it was a rolling stop it doesnt happen.

2) There is a new noise.. metallicy? It doesn't sound like anything i have heard before under my truck.. Could it be the tranny possibly low on oil? or the T-case..

3) There is a new noise when the clutch is partially engaged but that may have something to do with another noise related to the clutch haha


Sorry its vague, its the best i can describe it.. i can TRY to get a recording tomorrow, ill do my best. I want to take it back to Krawltex and have them look at it, but im sure that they wont be able to bring it in tomorrow . Im NOT taking it in and having to pay for anything since its something that happened in their shop.. UNLESS these happen with the RCD kit/4.88s?

How old is the clutch and was the flywheel resurfaced when it was last changed ?
Did the boys at the shop take it out for a little "play" time before you got it back ?

 

they took it out on a test drive, think they were really rough? because i have beat on my truck and nothing, now this...

the trucks goe 112xxx miles on it and for all i know its the origional clutch...

 

alright, never mind on the shuddering

its the pinion angle, they looked right over it.. and ill go in Thursday for them to fix it.. but i still have that other noise i think

 

they didint put the shims in for the pinion and angle? the shims come with the rcd.

 

they did, but its too much or something..

hes gonna take em out and flip them around
