I feel like an idiot asking this, I figured it was just a torx bit, but anyways, I got the top portion of the cable to unlatch, but how do you get the bottom part off? I thought you would just use a torx bit with a drill on that but it won't budge, is it just stuck or am I doing something wrong?

That better be a big drill =]

Get a breaker bar/long handled ratchet. Those monster Torx bolts are usually torqued down really well.
