Tailgate cable bolt size

The other day both of my tailgate cables snapped. Obviously an easy replacement but I don't have a Torx bit big enough. Anyone know the correct size for those bolts so I don't have to guess which one to buy? Thanks for the help.

On my 2004 its a T-45 for tailgate bolts and a T-55 for the bed bolts. It should be the same for all years. What I did is I went to Autozone and said I needed one and I didnt know what size. I grabed a couple and a guy came out with me to check sizes. They were $5 each.

you wont be able to take the bolts all the way out until you take off the panel on the inside of the tailgate because their is a limiter sort of thing on the bolt to keep from coming all the way out

After you turn the bolt all the way out until it seems to just spin, put the jaws of a pair of channel locks under the head of the bolt and give the jaws a couple of taps with a light hammer. This will seat the final two threads and you will be able to turn the bolt all of the way out. If it still spins use the channel lock jaws to exert some outward pressure on the bolt head while you try to turn it out by hand. If you have to remove the access panel use a small drift or punch to tap the base of the bolt. It should not take more than a couple of light taps. The bolt is not captive and there is no clip or keeper inside the tailgate. The nut is captive and it will not fall off inside unless it had been damaged by someone who is not mechanically inclined.
