Sorry to bring up an old thread but it's a good one. I"m thinking about getting the DDM kit for my truck. Right now my lights suckkkkk and I'd like to upgrade. I think I'll be set with the 35w 5k 9007 set, but do I want hi/lo or not? RIght now I tend to use my high beams a lot but that's usually just b/c it's hard to see more than 40 feet in front of my truck. So would the low beams more than powerful enough for regular back road driving or do I want the hi/lo?

OH and what's the difference between the ddm hid kit and the raptor hid kit?

 

I ended up getting the DDM Kit, I only got a low beam kit and it was great, my truck was also lifted when I had it, so that could have been a factor but I did aim them lower when my truck was lifted. the HIDs are so much brighter then stock its not even funny.

 

Sweet, I'm pretty sure I'll get the Raptor 35w 6000k low beam kit. Not bad for $30.

 

DDM is awesome. you can look on my profile i have a pic. 35 watt is better the fog housing will melt if you do 55 watt. i did the hi/lo its a waste. just the single is kind of an in between as far as brightness. i did the 8k heads and 3k fogs and they light up everything! i got flashed 14 times on my drive home from work and when i hit the highs i think they veered off the road....lol.

just ordered a set for my 07 honda trx450er too :)

 

i did the apex ones too. the ballasts are somewhat tricky under the hood especially with the k&n fipk but i still did it all in about 30 minutes...fogs are way easy i just ziptied them right to the frame
