Hard tonnoe cover question
To all that have one, is it really worth it? I like mine but it needs painted. I dont have the money to get it painted and I cant haul anything with it on,, I found that out the hard way durring my junk yard trip last weekend.... Plus if I get it painted and have to haul anything and have to take it off then I have to worry about it getting scratched. I think I wanna put my soft one back on so I can roll it up and use my bed whenever. Only thing is I wish that it tilted open... Oh well. What should I do?

Extang also makes a soft tonneau that folds in three, so you can access most of the bed in seconds and you don't have to worry about the stupid snaps like other soft covers. And if you need to take it off, there is only 2 clips to undo and it comes off in seconds. I bought one and I really like it.

I like my Undercover for all the reasons you dislike your hard cover. Check it out...

I got an Advance Cover hard folding tonneau. Folds all the way to the cab, plus it locks both in front and in the back. If I need something from the box that I keep up by the cab, all I have to do is unlock the panel by the cab and open it. For full loads, it's really easy to take off. Only two bolts and it's off. Don't have to worry about scratching it because of the material it's made of.

I love my Undercover too. I can understand the fact that you want something that can be rolled up if you want to haul anything, but Undercovers dont weigh that much at all, like 50lbs, so you can remove it by yourself if you need to or can get a bud to help you. It is made of tough plastic so you dont have to worry about painting it over time, just gotta worry bout scratches. It comes with a way to hang it on a wall of like a garage or a barn if you got one or have the space to hang it. And best of all it has locks on it too which are a must in my mind. My dads 93 F150 has a painted cab and the paints chiping on it like crazy and looks like s***. And I know here in Ohio in the winter it is a b**** to snap a soft top back on a truck in the cold!! Plus in my mind the black top with the red truck looks nice.
