Mazda bed patch panels

Have got the stereotypical bed well rust popping up, and have done some searching on patch panels. I wanted to get some feedback from others that have had them put in, how much a shop will normally charge to weld/paint them (am going to get an estimate tomorrow).

I also notice compared to my 97 Mazda and my dads 97 Ranger, I see some small differences in the wheel well creases and whatnot which Im having trouble finding a Mazda panel. Im sure a Ranger one would fit the same but found that to be an interesting difference. Can anyone offer some feedback on finding/ having them put in?

Thanks

it would be cheaper to just buy a used mazda bed and repaint it. I'm not too sure about the patch panels.

ok thanks. I don't see a whole lot of Mazda beds around (rust free nonetheless) but I will keep looking.
