Chrome tips

Chrome tips
I got chrome tips installed on my exhaust last Wed. and already they are rusting inside. Is this bad or will it rust through? My only concern is having a big ol hole come through one of them and having to get new ones re-welded. Is there anything I can spray on them that won't burn off like an undercoating of some sort?
Any help would be appreciated.

I should reword this... I don't care if they rust on the outside. I can polish them and I keep them clean so they won't rust from the outside. I'm talking about rusting from the inside out.
To repeat. I don't want to save the outsides with stuff, they won't rust on the outsides. But the insides will. I want to spray stuff in there. I got some hi-temp rustoleum to spray in there and it looks as if it will work. It adds a layer of paint that will keep the water from staying in the pipes and rusting them out.
I don't want stainless tips because after a year they seem to cloud and they never look as nice as chrome.
I live in Wisconsin and this exhaust system will only live at most for 5 years. The worst part is I live in a decent sized city so every day in the winter you get salt on everything and it will rust. Come spring, you clear the rust off and clean everything up.
