^^ This part was a ***** since the crank pulley was hitting the front. I had to tilt the ***** completely sideways in order to get it in.

Tip: Put the engine without the pulleys so it'll be a lot easier!

looks good man, but I would be careful with the fuel cell being mounted where its at, I'd be nervous with it there just because if you do get rearended hard, boom! As long as you plan on keeping it on the track and drive some on the road, it will be okay, it will help with traction on you a$$ end. I cant wait to see the finished product, makes me want to do my swap quicker. lol

I've seen a lot of old cars that have the tank and pump mounted like that but yeah the bumper makes it safe but i'll be all right. I'll be looking to the rear view mirror more than ever!!!LOL

you should mount grime/ dust gaurds on the under side of the motor compartment to keep the chrome shining.

looks good though.

spoolindanger I really don't know the kind of power i got. All I know is that I have no traction until 4th gear (That is without the bed and the tires that I got)

I'll post a vid soon

Brake Upgrades 101

It's been a while since I've been here.

Well I decided that I want to put big brakes on my truck since the crappy one piston calipers don't do the job, specially with a v8 . I've been searching the web for big brakes for the Rangers and there's only one company that i know of that makes them and for many vehicles as well. Check them out if you guys want to is www.revolutionbrake.com and their complete vehicle list http://www.revolutionbrake.com/files...kits-06-07.pdf anyways in order to put BIG BRAKES on my 93 ranger I had to swap my brakes for a 97 ranger 2 piston calipers here are the pics.

This is how the old brakes looks like (93-94 models)

Old spindle and caliper. Notice that this caliper is hold by clips instead of bolts like the 97 models.

Spindle, caliper and bracket

The final product, 97 ranger brakes on a 93 ranger

If you're going to do the swap remember that you will the rotor, brake hoses since the change, bearings, seals, pads, rotor dust cover. I would recommend that you buy all of this new (except the spindle cuz they cost $392 each at the dealer or you can get them for like 100-150 bucks at the junkyard)
