tranny problems

My 03, 4x4 4.0 ranger is shifting funny and has now lost reverse and wont downshift to first when in drive. First works fine when i shift down to first manually and every gear works fine but i have to go at least 45 in second then shift to drive and it'll shift ok all through the rest of the gears. Is it shot or is there a shif sylenoid i can replace...anyone have any knowledge about this?

i'd go with bringin it to a local tranny specialty shop. i dont know about the 03 but i know the late 90's 4.0 is too much power for the tranny and torque converter so might wanna look into that

Fluid level is "over full" and never had leaks or had to put any in it..

Thanks....Nice truck by the way. You got sand out there? Looks like it in the pic. I'm jealous.
