Personal best ever 21mpg. Every mile on the tank was Highway. That was flat land, cruise control set to 69mph (just under 2k rpm), new oil/oil filter, new air filter, properly inflated tires.

Hmm... In my 3.0 I get 16 city and 24.8 highway. I am not lifted but I have 31" tires. And I just found out about the 25 mpg when I drove up to longview a couple days ago. It was a 7 hour drive and I was going 70-75mph. So I say it is possible.

I drive seventy miles to work roundtrip each day and with my 3.0 2wd im getting 22.5mpg. Stockish ,for the most part , but its religously maintained. Also running 30.6" tires so a few inches larger than stock but not enough to do anything i would think. average speed is 65 also entire way to and from work

With my 3.0 2wd I get any where from 20 mpg to 23 mpg (mix of city and hwy). So its possible if you drive it right.

btw I use http://fuelly.com to track my gas mileage, its a neat little site.

I betcha I could get more than 25mpg. Highway @ 45mph, 5th gear, w/38psi. (My truck is completely stock powertrain/suspension/tires but, I have a K&N stock drop-in filter - not that it really matters)

I once got 26.5 mpg on a trip from Rapid City, SD to Sioux Falls, SD on I-90. It's flat as a pancake and I kept it steady at 55 mph, plus I had a 45 mph tailwind. I've never gotten close to that since.

55pmh in fifth is the sweet spot for our trucks.. any faste and yous tart losing mileage - once you hit 70+ your screwed... thats why I hate driving from here to Spokane/Cour D' Alene - 6hour drive, all at 65-70 once you get out of the Gorge area here... I got good mileage the first half, then sunk down to like 13-14 on the highway... plus - I also had a big load of stuff in the truck for camping soo -shrugs- :-p

The best MPG I ever got with my 3.0 5spd was 28mpg. I was following my dad towing the RV at 65mph the whole time. I had the AC running the whole time also.

Avg highway is 21mpg or so unless I speed.

Avg daily driving can vary from 16-20mpg.

The one thing that I think everything is missing is that your gearing in the rear is obviously going to affect where that "sweet" spot is. It's basically 2000-2200 RPM in 5th that really will get you good mileage. With my 4.10s, I sit right at about 2800 RPM at 70MPH.

And obviously, you as a driver can improve mileage by using Neutral a lot, etc. blah blah blah... it's been covered a 100 times. Haha...

I'm impressed.

I love my truck.
It may be old, But its not ****ty.

You have a beautiful truck and ***** about it more than anyone I have ever seen.
You may call mine a ****ty old truck, But at least I dont cry about it constantly.

And as nice as your truck is, I would never trade mine for it. Ever.

So I must be soooo jealous of your truck, Right?

So, In yo face.
