I know jack about jacks..

According to edmunds.com:
Curb Weight: 3085 lbs.
Gross Weight: 4340 lbs.

Would a 2.5 ton jack be enough?

or should I get a 3 ton just because I can?

Looking at:

2.5 ton = http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/w...6626_200326626

2.5 ton = http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/w...5247_200305247

3 ton w/stands = http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/w...5493_200305493

3 ton w/stands = http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/w...6428_200306428

any recommendations? I plan to buy this tomorrow and it has to be at northern tools because I have an employee discount

2.5 will be plenty because you are never going to have all the weight of the truck on the jack at one time because half of the truck will still be on the ground

lol I had a 2.5 ton jack that couldn't lift my truck high enough. I had to buy a 3 ton because it would go taller. Make sure you get a jack that has wide wheels on it.

Yep, though from the lowest point anywhere under the truck I still have 7"s of ground clearance..

I agree with Trent, get one that can hold enough weight and get you some good height off the ground!
