Mods and gas mileage question
So I got a 2.5 and when I put oversized tires on it, my gas mileage went to crap, which is fine because I like the tires but it has made me apprehensive about the other mods I wanted to do.
One being putting a diamond plated toolbox in the back, would that weight effect my truck too crazy? I don't even know how much those boxes weigh honestly
Secondly, a 3" body lift. How much would that kill my mileage?
Also, if I wanted to get an aftermarket catback on my truck and didn't want it to sound like a Civic, what would you recommend? Doesn't need to be loud just a little more noise than it has stock with a CAI.
Thanks yall

The 4cyl Ext cabs come with 4.10 rear gears. A cheap way to change is to swap in rear end from explorer. Most V6 auto exploders have 3.88. Check the VIN before you buy from the wrecking yard. Just remeber that most off road mods reduce gas milege and the lower gears are going to reduce your off the line excelleration.
