squeaking when turning, bumps
I dont know if this has any part in it but the weather has been rain and dense fog the last 7 days constantly. I noticed just today while driving that when I go over a bump or turn I get a squeaking, almost grinding sound coming from my front end. This had to have just started because I didnt notice anything last night or all weekend. Also this weekend I was driving on a lot of wet gravel and a little mud.
If this could be the ball joints, I dont have a lot of money and would like to do this myself, what would I need for tools and whats an estimated cost and time to do this? I had a shop quote me at $540 but thats got to be a rip off.

I washed the truck today, made sure I got underneath the body, and now it doesnt seem to make the noise when turning to the left but still does turning to the right. Also it has cut back on squeaking when going over bumps. Could it have been the wet weather and wet gravel/mud? And if anyone knows if this is anything other than ball joints, is there grease points or anything that I could lubricate?

mine is a 04 & no grease fittings on it, mine did that once & it was the exhaust where it connects after the y pipe i took the 2 bolts out & took the exhaust apart, took the fiber ring off, wire brushed the pipes & ring, then put it back 2gether & hasnt squeaked since, u might wana try that
