Steering wheel mod?

Does anybody have any wheel covers they recommend? I found a perfectly colored wheel cover @ autozone but I couldn't stretch it over my wheel no matter how hard I tried (even had some friends try and help!) The reason why I loved this one was because It matched my sonic blue paint.

I would want to get something that matches the color scheme on the truck.

The one I wanted is the same on my cousin has in his cavalier, it fits his wheel but our wheels are bigger.

PITA to put on but it's the only wheel cover I'd ever use.

I put it in the oven to make it bigger, and even had 2 guys trying to help me! - still couldn't get it on. Guess that was because my wheel is .75 inches bigger than the size recommended on the package (duh! haha)

Those look pretty good, but I don't know if "blue" or "cobalt blue" would match better?

Do you have one of the 2 tone ones? I like how they look more "stock"

No I have the original one in black, they look stock and are so tight you can feel the little finger bumps on the back of the wheel. If you closed your eyes and felt the outside diameter of the wheel you would never know it's a cover.

In regards to the color, I think they will send you a free swatch of the leather to see what color you like best.

I had a black/grey one. It was alright at first, but after a year it got pretty gross. The only bonus was in the winter, the cover was a foam type material, and wouldn't be cold on your hands.

I'd try to get my hands on a leather wrapped one.

I don't consider a steering wheel cover really a mod......that's mainly just like a addition, lol.

Unless of course you took the steering wheel cover out of a Lambo, or better yet, the entire steering column. Then, we're talking moddish.

I put my wheel cover on waiting at a red light.

Putting on a wheel cover is NOT a mod.

Yours looks really good, I got frustrated and messed mine up a little. I'll probably just get another new one eventually. How much was the Pepboys one?

True.

But, unless you have a steering wheel like mine which is all chewed up and faded and worn and looking really ugly, a cover is really the only way to fix it.
