i lived in massachusetts very briefly,thank god!i cant believe they can tell you something about exhaust noise.if it were me,id just drive around with expired inspection and pay the fine for that,itll be cheaper than having the exhaust redone im sure.

 

Find a different garage. I get stickers for trucks with glass packs. I can't imagine it's any louder than most Harley Davidson's. Loud pipes save lives.... should count for all vehicles.

 

I received my silencers today.... I didn't bolt them in, but I shoved 'em into the tail pipes and WOW!!!!

It sure quiets the truck A LOT!!!


I'm gonna be installin them tomorrow and then getting my truck inspected. Afterwards, I'm gonna take them off. I'll try and remember to take a video of the before/after/before difference.

 

I was going to suggest gettting some exhaust cones. They look like an ice cream and fit in the exhaust and make it quieter. It actually just looks like bug screen and I've seen them in Jegs and Summit but it looks like you've got it covered. I feel sorry for you SOB's that live in those communist controlled states. We don't have any emission or vehicle inspections in KS. My dad told me that a few decades ago they implemented them here but the uproar was so bad that they did away with them. You guys could change your communist controlled states by voting the current people in power.

 

Personally, I think the safety inspection is a good idea.

Why would I wanna drive or ride on roads where ANY car can get registered and used. I personally don't wanna be riding behind some clunker and crash my bike due to a bumper falling off or worse... like a wheel falling off on the highway (and that's happened right in front of me before).

I can't believe they are that strict. Sound and suspension inspection? Lol if they started doing that in Northeast Ohio (we just have simple e-checks, if you have a working cat and nothing emissions related broken you pass) the whole city would fail. Salt eats the paint on everything. My tie rods and ball joints look like they bathed in acid for a week.
